If any of you are aware of a Demo Day at your club, please let me know. Not only do I want to know personally, but I'd like to share the info with everyone. In fact, if you hear of one anywhere within a reasonable driving distance, I'd like to hear about it. Thanks. Kathleen
FOLLOW-UP: Thanks to Mary Jo Gray for letting me know that Stonebridge is hosting a Cleveland Demo Day on March 11 from 11am to 2pm. They will have lots of clubs with different shafts and lofts for us to try. Actually, I don't know if they will bring ladies' clubs to demo or not, but if not, they are missing a good opportunity.

Northwood Special Follow Up
Well, I decided to sign up for Northwood's $199.99 special and today I had my first lesson with their pro, Ed Sageer. I promise I'm not getting a "kick back" on this, but you gotta know that it was a really great experience. Ed spent a full hour with me today and was not "pushy" or "know-it-all". I can't say that a miracle happened and suddenly I no longer come over the top, but he did identify the problem and show me what to do to fix it. I can hardly wait to practice and then get back to him for the next lesson.
In addition...FLASH...FLASH...FLASH...I found out today that the Senior Olympics will be at Northwood this year!!! It's been at Meadowlake for the last several years, so this is a nice change for us. Please consider signing up for this event on April 24th. I'll have more info about the event, signing up and what is involved sometime next month. Kathleen

Golfing special
When I heard about this special that Northwood is offering right now, I felt compelled to pass it on to all of you. Check it out. It's not like all the other offers I've heard of.
For $199.99 plus tax, here's what you get:
For $199.99 plus tax, here's what you get:
- Ten rounds of golf....including cart
- Free bucket of balls before EACH round
- Three one-hour lessons with golf pro Ed Sageer
- Use the rounds ANY day of the week.....including weekends
- SHARE the rounds with a friend
- Take up to a year (from the date of purchase) to use the ten rounds
This offer is good through February 28th, so if you are interested, don't delay. Just think, if I want to take my brother to play golf with me, I can use two of my ten rounds. Or if three of my girlfriends and I want to play golf one Saturday, we can use four of my rounds.....and they can reimburse me just $20 each for the round, cart, and range balls. That's a deal!
If you hear of any other bargains we all need to know about, let me know and I'll pass it on. Kathleen

Spring Cleaning
Yesterday the ground hog saw his shadow, so we're supposed to have six more weeks of winter weather. Yuk.
March 3rd is our first playday, so now is the time to check out the condition of your golf grips. Do they need cleaning or maybe even replacing? I know. You've been meaning to do that for awhile and just haven't thought of it at the right time. Take advantage of these un-golfable days to do something golfably productive. (Excuse me. I just made up that word.)
And while you're at it, cleaning the club faces wouldn't hurt a bit. In fact, complete the spring cleaning by dumping out your golf bag. You know you have stuff in there that's accumulated all last golfing season. And don't forget that item that you accidently dropped in the bag.....under all your clubs.
If you're anything like me, you also have a collection of golf balls you've found along the way or scuffed up balls that you "intend" to put in your shag bag. How about a used-up golf glove or two? Clean 'um out! Start fresh. No telling what "treasure" you'll find when you do your spring cleaning. Have fun! Kathleen
