Events Chairman Marge Snyder presented the End-of-Year Awards. This year we had only five ladies who achieved 100%
participation:
Congratulations, ladies!
Also commendable are five others who missed only one of the eight
events: Hui Bordelon, FRLGA; Martha Lawhorne, BWGA; Kathleen McCoy, BWGA;
Suzanne Patton, BWGA; and Alyce Wyche, PCC.
There were twenty-three ladies who qualified for the other
end-of year awards, meaning they had at least five stroke-play scores in
required events. Winners were:

The Club Reps for 2015 are listed in the left column of this blog.
Incoming President McCoy reported on a few changes being
made for 2015. One significant change
involves the End-of-Year Awards for 100% participation. There are seven “required” events to achieve
100% participation, and that doesn’t include Team Matches. The Board of Directors decided that if a
member missed only ONE required event during the year, but played in at least
ONE day of Team Matches, she would still achieve 100% participation. That makes Team Matches your “insurance
policy”.
The new SWGA message logo was also introduced and pretty
much describes our group:
The loss of Palmetto Country Club caused the re-organization
of the SWGA Board and some of the duties, which therefore caused a change in
the Constitution. It will also affect
the make-up of Team Matches which will be handled by Suzanne Tinsley this year. The format will remain the same, but the
East/West concept may have to change to some other type of division.
Dates of this year’s events are listed near the bottom of
the blog for your convenience and has been sent out to all SWGA members via
email.
