The Broadmoor Womens’ Golf Association at Shreveport Country
Club hosted its first Member/Guest Scramble competition on Wednesday, May
25. It was a beautiful day for the
twenty-six ladies that came together for good fun, food, and friendship.
The fun started with a putting contest that consisted of two
attempts at approximately 25 feet from the hole. After all had given it a try, there were two ladies that MADE THE
PUTT: Jeanette Bohringer and Judy
Ferguson. That called for a putt-off,
and Jeanette got the closest on that attempt.
Congratulations on some great putting!
The course was in great shape and lunch was really tasty and
refreshing after the temperatures had started to soar. Events Chairman Nina Glorioso and her
committee did an outstanding job, using the red/white/blue theme and flags as a
tribute to those we miss so dearly during this Memorial Day season.
Members invited guests that were from other clubs, and even
other cities, to join them in this scramble format. There were only net score prizes since it was handicapped.
