Southern Belle Invitational

The Southern Belle was hosted again at the pristine Southern Trace Country Club on Wednesday, May 6^th with practice round on Tuesday.  After practice, there was a “pool party” which included wonderful food and a putting contest.  And once again, tee gift was a pair of Nike shoes!

A whopping field of 68 teams filled the course, which made for a very long day.  The shamble/scramble format is always fun though, and when the scores were tallied, the Overall Gross winners were tied with a score of 70. 

After a sudden death playoff which lasted only one hole, Vicki DeLaughter and Teresa Horn were triumphant over Kathy Davis and Debbie Magee, who ended up winning Low Gross in the First Flight.

Overall Low Net went to team Martinak and Salisbury with a nice score of 62.  With only four flights, the winners in each flight had to really shine to win their spots.  Twelve of our local girls were winners.   Congratulations to all!
